The Life of a Primus Beer Bottle

Shared with NGO workers at a restaurant

Consumed on the street by the Congolese in Kinshasa, DRC

Drunk by peacekeepers...

....and by Rebel soldiers - DRC

...or a Boozing Ex-pat working in the region

...and then by Congolese government soldiers

Refilled and Transported again...

to be enjoyed by UN soldiers

...or Child soldiers

...and then to be recycled again...

Primus beer bottles are recycled, refilled and reused in Central East Africa for many years (Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda & Burundi)...so you can imagine how many hands, lips and stories have passed through a bottle during it's lifetime.....  It's probably the only neutral thing that everyone can agree upon in that region.
